Job Description

Are you a data analyst with a strong affinity for sales performance, funnels, and conversion optimization?

Customer Data is part of the Tribe Digital Business Banking domain at ING, providing the capabilities to retrieve, store and validate data of retail and business customers. It is a dynamic environment at the core of the bank’s operations, where customer data powers key commercial processes such as onboarding, cross-sell, and retention. In each of these journeys, it is essential to deliver insights that drive conversion, optimize funnels, and improve the experience for both customers and colleagues.

Do you enjoy analyzing customer journeys, identifying drop-offs, and uncovering opportunities to increase conversion? Does your curiosity drive you to understand the underlying business processes and translate data into actionable insights? Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset and the autonomy to make impact? Then we are looking for you!

Your task

We are looking for a Data Analyst who can collaborate closely with the team while also taking ownership within their domain on the following topics:

  • Analyze end-to-end sales funnels and customer journeys to identify conversion opportunities and performance improvements
  • Monitor and optimize key metrics such as acquisition, activation, retention, and conversion rates
  • Build and maintain a Power BI dashboard to track sales performance, funnel metrics, and conversion insights
  • Translate business questions into structured analyses and actionable insights that support commercial decision-making
  • Proactively identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities in the funnel and communicate these to stakeholders
  • Ensure consistency, reliability, and usability of data used for sales and funnel reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting needs, and challenge them to sharpen their questions
  • Support decision-making by presenting insights in a clear and compelling way

Your team

You will be part of the value space ‘Data Quality, Governance and Access’, a group of 3 squads responsible for data and services used across the bank. The teams consist of Customer Journey Experts, Data Analysts, and IT engineers.

Your stakeholders are spread throughout the bank, including teams responsible for customer journeys, sales channels, and digital platforms, all relying on insights to improve funnel performance and conversion.

How to succeed

  • Have strong analytical skills and take decisions based on data and insights
  • Are proficient in SQL and experienced in working with large datasets
  • Have hands-on experience with Power BI for building dashboards and visualizing insights
  • Are familiar with analytical tools such as Python (pandas) and/or Excel for deeper data analysis
  • Understand sales funnels, customer journeys, and conversion optimization
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights that drive impact
  • Take ownership within your domain and proactively drive improvements
  • Thrive in multidisciplinary, agile teams
  • Are fluent in Dutch and English (both verbal and written)
