A critical component of this role is developing a strong understanding of the real estate and default servicing industries, including the operational, financial, and process drivers that impact Company and Client performance. The ideal candidate is curious, analytically minded, and motivated to learn how data is used to support decision-making in a complex, regulated business environment

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide reporting and analytical support to operational teams, helping convey Company and Client performance through accurate and timely metrics, dashboards, and analyses
• Build, execute, and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports used by internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
• Develop a strong working knowledge of the real estate and default servicing industries, including foreclosure processes, mortgage servicing workflows, and the operational drivers that impact performance metrics.
• Assist in the design and enhancement of reports that meet defined business and operational requirements, incorporating feedback from stakeholders
• Execute and maintain reporting solutions using existing tools and queries, including AWS Athena, Excel, Power BI, and other reporting platforms.
• Support the documentation, validation, and ongoing maintenance of datasets and reporting tables used for management and operational reporting. Identify, investigate, and help remediate data integrity issues prior to report delivery, escalating concerns as appropriate
• Adhere to defined reporting schedules and deliverables while remaining flexible to changing business priorities and urgent requests
• Partner with the Data Engineering team to ensure consistency and reliability of data used across reports and functional areas
• Fulfill ad hoc analytical requests for business leaders, providing clear explanations of findings and limitations
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with business partners regarding work status, priorities, and expected delivery timelines
• Support the development of new business metrics and assist with exploratory, test and control, or validation analyses as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) required

• Foundational to intermediate SQL skills, including the ability to write, understand, and modify queries; experience with AWS Athena is preferred
• Exposure to business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS
• Demonstrates a strong interest in learning the real estate and default servicing industries, including the ability to translate operational processes into meaningful analytical insights
• Basic understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts; familiarity with enterprise data warehouse structures (e.g., star schema) is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality prior to report delivery
• Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable collaborating with cross functional partners and communicating analytical findings to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data and results clearly and concisely
• Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools, concepts, and business processes

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline required; equivalent practical experience may be considered
• Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply; internship, co op, academic project, or early professional experience in data analysis, reporting, business analytics, or a related field is a plus
• Prior experience in real estate, mortgage servicing, default servicing, foreclosure, or financial services is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated interest in learning the real estate and default servicing industries, including a willingness to develop an understanding of industry terminology, workflows, and performance drivers through on the job experience
• Experience working with data in an academic, internship, or professional setting—such as analyzing datasets, building reports, or supporting business decisions—is highly desirable.
