The Housing Data Analyst works within the Research, Data, and Systems (RDS) division within Wake County’s Department of Housing Affordability and Community Revitalization (HACR) This role contributes to the Department’s mission by analyzing, validating and reporting on housing and homelessness data used to inform programs, services and policy decisions across the housing continuum.

While both positions share core analytical responsibilities and standards, each will partner closely with different program teams and subject matter experts to deliver data-driven insights tailored to their focus area.
The Data Analyst works with housing program staff, technical partners and community stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. This includes developing reports, dashboards and visualizations; supporting performance monitoring and regulatory reporting; and helping ensure data quality across housing-related systems such as HMIS, GIS platforms and other program databases. The position operates independently on assigned projects while adhering to established analytics standards, data quality practices and governance guidelines.
