Job Description

EPMA is supporting an Oil & Gas organization their Engineering & Construction department is seeking a highly organized Data Analyst / Data Reporting Analyst / Business Operations Analyst to work directly with the Director of Project Controls. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, building executive-level reports, improving data quality, and collaborating with project teams across the business.

Location: Houston Downtown- Need to be onsite - 5 days a week

Responsibilities
  • Extract, validate, and analyze project data from SAP and other systems
  • Clean, organize, and maintain large datasets to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly project performance reports
  • Support executive reporting on budget vs. actual performance, forecasting, and capital spend
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Directors, and Engineers to gather and validate project information
  • Support data migration and reporting initiatives within the PROCOM project tracking system
  • Create exception reports and identify data inconsistencies requiring corrective action
  • Assist with user support, training, documentation, and FAQ development
  • Help improve reporting processes and data quality standards across the organization
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, data analysis)
  • Experience extracting and manipulating data from SAP or other ERP systems
  • Strong data validation, cleansing, and reporting experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX, 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Engineering, Construction, Utilities, Energy, or Capital Projects environments
  • Project Controls or PMO reporting experience
  • Experience preparing executive-level dashboards and performance metrics
  • Training, documentation, or user support experience
