Job Title: Data Analyst – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Data Migration
Location: Shanghai, China (Onsite)
Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)

Chinese or Mandarin speaking mandatory

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the successful migration of data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 as part of Customer’s ERP and CRM transformation program across APAC. The Data Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring data quality, integrity, and completeness throughout the migration lifecycle, working closely with business teams, functional consultants, and technical teams.

This role will focus on analysing legacy data sources, defining data mapping and transformation rules, validating migrated data, and ensuring compliance with global data standards and China-specific requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyse legacy systems and data structures to support migration into Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O and CE)
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, definitions, and ownership
• Define data mapping, transformation logic, and cleansing rules aligned with target system design
• Perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities in coordination with technical teams
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps proactively
• Participate in multiple data migration cycles including mock loads, SIT, UAT, and production cutover
• Validate migrated data against business expectations and reconcile discrepancies
• Prepare and maintain data migration documentation including mapping documents, data dictionaries, and validation reports
• Support governance, compliance, and data security standards across the migration process
• Assist in defining data standards, naming conventions, and master data governance processes
• Provide support during go-live and hypercare phases to resolve data-related issues

Requirements

Professional Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 5–8+ years of experience in data analysis, data migration, or data management roles
• Strong experience with data migration projects, preferably in ERP/CRM transformations
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or data migration/ETL tools
• Strong understanding of data structures, data quality, and data governance principles
• Experience working with large datasets across finance, customer, or project domains
• Experience supporting multi-country or APAC transformation programs is advantageous
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O and/or CE) data models is a strong advantage
• Understanding of master data entities such as customers, vendors, chart of accounts, projects, and resources
• Experience working in Agile or structured delivery environments
• Exposure to Azure data tools or Power Platform is a plus

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O or CE) implementations or migrations
• Experience with data migration tools such as Data Management Framework (DMF), Azure Data Factory, or similar
• Understanding of finance, CRM, or project operations data domains
• Exposure to data governance frameworks or master data management (MDM) tools
• Experience in professional services or project-based organizations
