Job Description

As a Data Analyst – Project Controlling, you will strengthen project delivery performance within Power Plant Engineering by enabling transparent KPI governance, robust risk management, and structured continuous-improvement routines. You will create dashboards, facilitate root-cause analyses and workshops, track engineering WIP and BoP cost drivers, and help embed standardized practices across the project lifecycle in close collaboration with the Project Structuring team and key stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess project risks, ensuring timely identification, reporting, and documentation of lessons learned
  • Create and maintain dashboards for KPI governance, track project timelines, engineering WIP, and BoP cost drivers, and highlight deviations for corrective action
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, facilitate root cause analyses, workshops, and lessons-learned sessions
  • Develop, introduce, and continuously improve processes for risk management, quality assurance, and project execution
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations on project status, risks, and process performance; support audits and process reviews
  • Act as a key contact for project analytics and process performance topics within the Project Structuring team, proactively spotting trends, risks, and opportunities

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, business analytics, project controlling, process improvement, or operational excellence roles, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives
  • hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau and Power BI; Python or similar coding skills are a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication, skills;
  • Experience in change management and driving adoption of new processes; process mapping and analysis skills (ADONIS or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects; stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset; fluent in German (native) and English (business level)
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%; valid work permit for Austria required (Non-EU citizens: please attach your work permit to the application)
