David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a multinational financial services company specializing in online trading that is seeking to onboard a Data Analyst to join their team.

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze business data across deposits, withdrawals, trading volumes, customer behaviour, IB/partner structures, promotions, bonuses, and other key commercial areas
• Identify anomalies, unusual trends, data discrepancies, and potential business risks and investigate their root causes
• Reconcile data across CRM, trading platforms, internal ledgers, and other systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Build, maintain, and automate recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and business teams
• Translate complex datasets into clear findings, insights, and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
• Investigate business questions using data, including customer behaviour, churn, promotion performance, and the impact of operational or policy changes
• Proactively identify growth opportunities and areas for business improvement through data analysis
• Work closely with IT and AI teams to identify additional data requirements, queries, and datasets
• Document data sources, methodologies, assumptions, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility
• Continuously improve analytical processes and reduce reliance on manual reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of professional Data Analysis experience
• Fluent in English both verbal and written
• Strong SQL skills, including multi-table joins, window functions, and working efficiently with large datasets
• Hands-on Python experience for data analysis using pandas, Polars, or similar tools
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate anomalies and determine root causes
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar solutions as part of analytical workflows
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to independently drive analytical tasks from question to conclusion
• Experience within Forex/CFD, brokerage, fintech, payments, or another financial services environment is considered a strong advantage
• Experience with financial reconciliation, dashboards, A/B testing, cohort analysis, or statistical analysis is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of DuckDB, Polars, Grafana, Metabase, Looker Studio, or similar tools is considered an advantage.
