You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. Within the Data Office, the Data and Analytics team builds value-focussed data products strategically on the Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform (EDAP), internally for the firm. The Data Analyst sits within this growing team to build, develop, and support the growing catalogue of data products offered by the Data Office and will play a vital part in the execution of the data strategy.
Reporting to the Data Analytics Lead, the Data Analyst will be a key role in the translation of data into meaningful and actionable insights. It is also their responsibility to provide value from the wealth of data available by understanding, not only the business, but also the technical aspects of the data. They will be curious and grow their knowledge of the business and systems to get to the bottom of what stakeholders are really asking for, providing the best product to suit their needs.
The Data Analyst will support continuous improvement with developing value-adding products as well as by highlighting any data risks found through thorough testing and analysis. The Data Analyst will analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, creating models, reports, dashboards, and recommendations that help BDO to make decisions on its growth analytics strategy and beyond.
In this role, you will design and deliver high-quality data analytics solutions that provide valuable business insights and support decision-making. You will work closely with Data Engineering and key stakeholders to develop scalable analytics products, contribute to data pipelines and curated datasets, and identify trends through data analysis. You will provide expert guidance on analytics and performance measurement, maximise the value of internal and external data sources, and deliver projects autonomously while maintaining clear communication with the Data Analytics Lead.
