Step into the role of Data Analyst at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.
You will support business operations through data analysis, management information (MI) reporting, data management, and issue resolution. The role primarily focuses on leveraging data to generate insights, improve reporting processes, and support decision-making. The successful candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with large datasets.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:
Analyze, manage, and validate operational data to support business reporting and decision-making.
Produce and maintain Management Information (MI) reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Utilize advanced Excel and data management techniques to identify trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
Support operational teams by investigating data-related issues and providing timely resolutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver accurate, data-driven insights.
Desirable skills set:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, pivots, lookups, and automation.
Experience with AWS and handling large datasets in a cloud environment.
Knowledge of Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization.
Exposure to AI tools, analytics solutions, or process automation initiatives.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
