Job Description

Who we are...

At Trustonic, we make smartphones affordable for the many, enabling global access to devices and digital finance through the world’s most secure smartphone locking technology. We partner with mobile carriers, retailers, and financiers across 30+ countries, powering device financing solutions that drive economic inclusion, profitability, and growth.

We pride ourselves on living by the Trustonic culture code, a blueprint for our journey that recognises that great working environments don’t guarantee success, but bad ones almost always ensure failure.

Working here, you’ll find a company that celebrates its diversity and is looking to do the right thing: for each other, the community and the planet. We believe in equal opportunities and take to heart the old African proverb ’If you only want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together’.

We work flexibly when and where we’re at our best, but regardless of how you choose to work, we’ll make sure you feel like one of the team.

  • Enable AI-generated dashboards and conversational analytics experiences.

Data Visualisation & Storytelling

  • Create interactive live dashboards using leading BI platforms.
  • Empower self-serve analytics across teams through intuitive reporting tools.

Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Implement robust governance frameworks covering naming standards, lineage, classification, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations and enterprise-grade security practices.

Data Quality & Reliability

  • Design automated validation, anomaly detection, and monitoring systems.
  • Establish trusted single sources of truth for critical business metrics.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, catalogues, and metadata repositories.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging data patterns and architectural approaches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Data teams to align analytics with evolving product strategy.

SaaS & Multi-Tenant Architecture

  • Design scalable analytics solutions addressing global performance, latency, isolation, and availability needs.

What we’re looking for...

Experience & Domain Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience in technology roles, in data analytics or platform analytics.
  • Proven experience in SaaS or product-centric organisations.
  • Background working with large-scale datasets such as telecom, IoT, telemetry, or digital platforms.
  • Hands-on experience designing scalable, cloud-based data environments (AWS preferred).

Technical Strengths

  • DataOps & CI/CD: Experience applying DevOps practices to data pipelines.
  • Security & Compliance: Knowledge of GDPR, SOC2, ISO frameworks, and data protection practices.

Key Attributes

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Adaptable and committed to continuous learning.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple initiatives.
  • Innovative thinker with a forward-looking approach to data architecture.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for documentation and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in BI tools, data platforms, or analytics are advantageous.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
