Job Description

• An established East Coast Importer/Shipper/Repacker of fresh produce is seeking an experienced Data Analyst.
• This role creates reports, charts and dashboards for a variety of fresh produce categories.
• This person will analyze data sets, detailing trends and patterns and interpret this information to answer specific business questions and improve business.
• This position will be crucial to help optimize inventory levels, improve supply chain efficiency, and ultimately, meet customer needs effectively.
• This person will work heavily with Nielsen/Circana data and other tools like Tableau and Excel.
• Our client is based in the greater Philadelphia/New Jersey area. Being based in the office full-time is welcomed but they will entertain hybrid or fully remote candidates with the right experience.

  Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Data Analysis: Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify patterns and trends.
• Collaboration: Working with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align demand forecasts with business goals.
• Reporting and Analysis: Preparing reports and providing insights on forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and other relevant metrics.

  Skills and Qualifications:

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for analyzing data and identifying trends.
• Quantitative Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques is a must.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate with other teams.
• Software Proficiency: Strong aptitude and Expertise in utilizing Microsoft Excel is a must. As well as a background working with syndicated data such as Neilsen and/or Circana. Experience with ERP systems, and data analysis tools is also preferred. (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field of study preferred and 2+ years’ of related experience in the fresh produce industry. (Or potentially other perishable foods)

The base salary the company may reasonably expect to pay for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. The actual salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The base salary range does not include other compensation elements, which will compose the total compensation package, or other benefits available to the position.
