Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG), the material handling equipment business unit of TICO, focuses on the development and sales for material handling solutions such as forklifts, energy storage, digital technologies, and automation.

Recently the decision was taken to establish a TICO Pune Development Centre for the forklift business in Pune, India. This newly established organization will support the TMHG engineering teams worldwide with development centers located in Europe, North America, and Japan.

TICO Pune Development Centre is seeking a mid-to-senior level Data Analyst to analyze complex and growing telematics datasets and drive improvements in customer experience for Toyota’s forklift telematics solutions.

This role goes beyond traditional reporting. The successful candidate will design scalable analytical datasets, perform deep analysis, and translate insights into product and customer experience improvements. The role partners closely with product, engineering, customer support, and leadership teams.

The ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, and capable of balancing urgent analytical needs with longer-term data and analytics initiatives in a fast-paced New Product Development (NPD) environment.

Responsibilities/ Key Activities

  • Independently collect, clean, validate, and analyze large and complex datasets related to telematics usage, performance, and customer behavior

  • Proactively identify trends, patterns, and emerging issues impacting customer experience, product adoption, reliability, and engagement

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations to improve the telematics customer experience on forklift trucks

  • Develop and maintain executive level dashboards and reports for senior leadership consumption

  • Partner with product management, engineering, and customer facing teams to influence roadmap priorities and operational improvements

  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders with clarity, confidence, and supporting data

  • Respond to ad hoc and urgent analytical requests while balancing longer term initiatives and commitments

  • Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and alignment with data governance standards

  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries in Snowflake and other enterprise data sources

  • Use Python scripting to automate analyses, perform deeper statistical exploration, and support repeatable reporting processes

Location & Travel:

This is a full time (100%), in-person role located at our Pune, India office – ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. Travel is not required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Five or more years of experience in data analysis or analytics roles

  • Advanced SQL proficiency

  • Strong experience with Snowflake

  • Python scripting proficiency for data analysis, automation, and visualization

  • Advanced experience developing dashboards for executive audiences

  • Strong understanding of analytical methods, trend analysis, and data driven storytelling

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with JMP statistical software and Power BI.

  • Experience analyzing IoT, telematics, or connected device data (time-series or event-based data)

  • Background in manufacturing, industrial equipment, logistics, or fleet management environments

  • Familiarity with customer experience metrics, usage analytics, and product adoption analysis

  • Experience working cross functionally in a product or engineering driven organization
