Job Description

Data Analyst

Department: Finance

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Houston

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 / year

At Veriforce, we help companies in high-risk industries keep their people, worksites, and supply chains safe and compliant. As a global leader in contractor and supply chain risk management, our SaaS platform simplifies contractor onboarding, credentialing, and compliance while providing powerful analytics and insights. Beyond software, we offer expert support, training, and consulting so our clients can operate with confidence. Together, we’re making workplaces safer every day.

As our business scales and our product portfolio becomes more sophisticated, we are looking for a detail-obsessed Data Analyst to ensure our internal data is complete, accurate, and trustworthy. This is a great opportunity for someone with a sharp analytical mindset who’s eager to dive into complex datasets and partner closely with business leaders in a growing SaaS/tech company backed by Apax Partners.

What that means day-to-day:

The data analyst will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization by analyzing business performance, contractor behavior, and data integration.

This role is responsible for collecting and analyzing data from multiple systems, including CRM platforms, Billing Systems (Zuora), financial Systems (NetSuite), and product analytics tools to generate insights that drive growth, operational efficiency, and improved contractor outcomes. The data analyst will monitor and analyze core metrics to help leadership understand business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership using tools such as Power BI and Alteryx
  • Help automate the current manual reporting
  • Deepen analysis of contractor data to identify key drivers for churn or expansion
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes with data insights
  • Analyze key business metrics to provide deeper insights into the business
  • Work with teams to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations

What you’ll need to be successful:

The ideal candidate brings strong data fundamentals, thrives in ambiguity, and has the technical horsepower to work with complex datasets while maintaining business acumen to influence senior leaders. This person is a highly detail-oriented self-starter who can balance precision and speed in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities independently, and collaborate effectively with others through strong interpersonal skills.

  • 5+ years of data analytics experience with demonstrated expertise in SQL, Power Query or Alteryx, PowerBI and Excel skills, preferably in high-growth or PE-backed companies
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or related field
  • Comfort working with data from multiple systems and building integrated reporting solutions
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with proven problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders with clarity and impact
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial metrics to operational drivers

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with financial systems (NetSuite or similar ERP platforms)
  • SaaS or subscription-based business model experience
  • International/multi-entity company experience
  • M&A or integration experience

What you’ll get in return:

Here are just a few of the great reasons you should join our team!

  • Work with a global team! We have colleagues and customers across North America and overseas.
  • Veriforce is a great place to work! Our leaders and teams cite culture as one of the top reasons this is a great place to build your career.

    • Paid time off for volunteer activities
    • Remote work

All job offers will be contingent on successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
