What you will be doing:

  • Support portfolio-level measurement of sustainability-related risks and impacts, integrating findings into the broader assessment and monitoring activities of the Sustainability team.

  • Continuously monitor and measure portfolio sustainability performance against benchmarks, applying advanced analytics to identify trends, risks, performance drivers, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Leverage data systems, automation tools (including AI and low-code platforms) to enhance data collection and analytical efficiency, contributing to the development of scalable, audit-ready data management tools and processes.

  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyse diverse sustainability data (emissions, portfolio performance) from various sources, ensuring high quality, consistency, and compliance with data governance and confidentiality standards.

  • Develop compelling data visualisations, dashboards, and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights and narratives for internal stakeholders, including investment teams and senior management.

  • Collaborate with the Private Equity Sustainability team and provide analytical support for sustainability data requests from the Credit business.

What our client is looking for:

  • A relevant tertiary degree would be beneficial (Data analytics, finance, sustainability, economics, engineering, etc.).

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data manipulation (Excel, SQL) and visualisation (Power BI or similar).

  • 1+ years in a data-focused analytical role, ideally in corporate, finance, consulting, or research; sustainability data experience is a bonus.

  • Ability to interpret data critically, identify anomalies, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • High attention to detail with complex datasets, and an interest in using automation/low-code/AI tools (e.g., Airtable) to improve data workflows.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills for presenting insights and data-driven narratives professionally.

  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., SFDR, TCFD, CSRD) and commitment to continuous learning in sustainability topics.
