Job Description

Are you passionate about AI? Do you like to lead strategies and make an impact? Winnebago Industries is seeking a Data & AI Product Owner to join our team based in Eden Prairie, MN. This role is hybrid. The Data & AI Product Owner will serve as a critical bridge between business teams and data engineering by making data and AI solutions practical, impactful, and widely adopted. This role will translate technical capabilities into real business outcomes, manage and prioritize a backlog of data and AI initiatives, and ensure that every solution delivered is usable, well-governed, and tied to measurable business value. This is an individual contributor role within the enterprise Data Center of Excellence, combining Agile product ownership with hands-on enablement and stakeholder engagement across a multi-brand enterprise.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business unit leaders, data stewards, data engineers, and IT leadership. Build strong relationships across functions to understand needs, align priorities, and translate them into actionable data and AI initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of AI tools and data products across the enterprise by building user communities, leading hands-on workshops, and creating reusable playbooks and training materials to increase fluency and adoption in the organization.
  • Activate and support a network of data stewards by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and processes needed to drive AI, data reliability, ownership, and accountability practices.
  • Support data privacy requests, including CCPA and other state law requirements, by leading assessments, auditability, and ongoing compliance to keep solutions audit-ready and fit for enterprise use.
  • Leverage SQL expertise to analyze and validate data, partner with data engineering to resolve data issues, align on shared definitions and standards, and identify monitoring signals to proactively catch quality problems before they affect downstream users.
  • Define clear lifecycle standards for data products, including documentation, endorsements, and retirement plans to support user understanding and orderly deprecation.
  • Own and prioritize the data and AI backlog, define clear acceptance criteria, partner with delivery teams in sprint ceremonies, and drive measurable outcomes using Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Other duties as assigned based upon business need.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data enablement, product ownership, or adjacent roles supporting data platforms and business adoption.
  • 3+ years of hands-on SQL experience and data quality work.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum and/or Kanban; familiarity with backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira).
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and partnering with stakeholders to define outcomes, measure value, and drive adoption of data and AI solutions across teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, multi-brand, or multi-business-unit enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalog, medallion architecture, or lakehouse concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with data privacy compliance operations (e.g., CCPA fulfillment, data subject access requests).

By fostering innovation, igniting growth, promoting well-being and connecting with purpose, we cultivate the passion and pride that make both work and play extraordinary. Greatness is in your NATURE.
