Your tasks: You make a difference with us.

• Establish and develop Tchibo’s Romanian Data & AI delivery unit.
• Lead, coach and mentor a team of approximately five to six employees, providing both disciplinary and professional leadership. Job Description...ata AI.pdf
• Build an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing team culture that enables colleagues to take ownership and deliver results independently.
• Support the team’s growth through recruitment, onboarding, professional development and performance management.
• Act as the primary contact in Romania for technology, project and people-related topics.
• Represent Tech. Romania at industry events, tech conferences and recruiting fairs in Bucharest and across Romania.
• Strengthen Tchibo’s local employer brand and visibility in Romania’s technology and AI talent community.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for Data Engineering, GenAI and Agentic AI initiatives, following the applicable frameworks and standards.
• Lead projects from initial idea and requirements through architecture and implementation to production deployment.
• Coordinate closely with the Data & AI organization in Hamburg and maintain high standards for quality, transparency and accountability.
• Contribute to the technology landscape across modern data platforms, Data Warehousing, Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLM applications, RAG, MCP server integrations and intelligent business applications.

Your profil: You keep reinventing us.

• Bring at least eight years of leadership experience in technical teams, delivery teams or engineering organizations. Confirm that eight years is the intended minimum.
• Have experience building and developing a team or organizational unit.
• Combine professional and disciplinary leadership skills with strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Communicate effectively with technical specialists and business stakeholders.
• Work confidently across locations, cultures and organizational boundaries.
• Lead collaboratively while taking decisive action and accountability.
• Understand how Data and AI create business value and connect technical decisions with business needs and customer outcomes.
• Take ownership in situations that are not yet fully defined.
• Stay hands-on when needed, including writing code, reviewing architectures, solving technical problems and supporting the team
