Job Description

Create your best future and join Digital Data and AI as a Data and AI Delivery Excellence and Adoption Lead!

What’s the role?

You will lead the adoption and transformation agenda for the Data & AI Practice, ensuring new ways of working become embedded across Delivery Units and translate into measurable business outcomes. This role is accountable for turning the Practice's investments in standards, platforms, reusable assets and capability uplift into sustainable behavioural change across the enterprise. You will build and lead a federated network of practitioners and champions, creating the feedback loops, influence mechanisms and adoption strategies needed to accelerate delivery excellence at scale. Working closely with Practice leaders, you will identify and remove barriers to adoption, shape continuous improvement priorities and ensure the Practice delivers meaningful improvements in delivery speed, quality, reuse and value realisation. Success in this role is not measured by publishing standards or launching tools. It is measured by whether practitioners use them, whether delivery becomes easier, and whether the bank achieves better outcomes as a result.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the enterprise adoption strategy for the Data & AI Practice, driving sustainable behaviour change across Delivery Units.
  • Mobilise a federated network of practitioners, champions and leaders to accelerate adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the uptake of Data & AI standards, platforms, reusable assets and new ways of working across the enterprise.
  • Own adoption, reuse and delivery excellence metrics, ensuring Practice investments deliver measurable value.
  • Identify delivery friction, systemic barriers and adoption challenges, translating insights into improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Craft Leads, Standards, Tooling & Platforms and Workforce & Skills leaders to continuously improve the practitioner experience.
  • Coach senior leaders and delivery teams to adopt new approaches and maximise value from strategic Data & AI investments.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, reuse and delivery excellence across the Data & AI community.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will be a strategic change leader with deep experience driving enterprise-wide adoption, change or capability uplift initiatives within data, analytics and AI environments. You will have experience influencing senior leaders and creating sustainable organisational change at scale. You understand that successful transformation is ultimately about changing behaviours, not simply introducing new frameworks, tools or processes.

Other skills and experience required include:

  • Experience leading large-scale change, adoption or transformation programs across complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of how data, analytics, AI or technology capabilities are delivered and adopted within large enterprises
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around common goals.
  • Proven ability to coach and support leaders and delivery teams through change and adoption initiatives.
  • Experience using data, metrics and insights to measure adoption, identify improvement opportunities and inform decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify barriers, navigate complexity and drive practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable messages for a range of audiences.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams, including technology, data, architecture, risk and business stakeholders.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation and creating better customer and business outcomes through Data and AI.
