Data Administrator | Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, Tx, 78759 |Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm | FLSA Status: Exempt

What You’ll Do:

Data Systems & Analysis

  • Designing and implementing data systems of high availability and quality based on different department or end users’ information needs and views
  • Conducts complex data analysis, identifies patterns and trends, and interprets data integrity requirements to identify opportunities for improvement for multiple functional areas
  • Utilizes statistical analysis and data visualization tools to assist in decision-making processes and to improve business operations

Reporting & Data Management

  • Develops, maintains, and shares comprehensive data reports and visualizations to communicate the results of data analysis
  • Provides proactive and reactive data management support and training to users, along with effective data analysis techniques
  • Provides insight, support, and documentation for data management policies, procedures, and standards, while collaborating with relevant department leads to ensure accurate implementation of data analysis models
  • Builds a corporate data structure aimed at eliminating data silos by consolidating or aggregating data into a single source

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Advises on the implementation of data security measures to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access, unsafe or inappropriate sharing, transfer, or use
  • Works closely with the Information Security team to ensure the effective deployment of these measures for enhanced data protection
  • Conducts regular tests and evaluations to assess data security, compliance, privacy, performance, and integrity
  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholders, including the Information Security team, to establish robust testing processes that help maintain overall data health and meet required standards

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience
  • Proficiency in optimizing data systems, creating user-friendly interfaces, and performing comprehensive data analysis to support decision-making
  • Experience with programming languages and data analysis tools such as Python or R
  • Strong knowledge of database structure languages, including SQL or SQL/PSM
  • Familiarity with database management and data analysis best practices
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • A degree in a computer discipline is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a collaborative attitude and ability to work across organizational boundaries
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex, data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders
