Job Overview
Our project aims to develop the future of micro-mobility, and we are looking for a Hardware Reliability and Failure Analysis Engineer to help drive the development of the newest products and sustain the customers fleet in operation.
Ensure hardware reliability for New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining products, including alternate source qualifications
Develop new reliability tests, procedures, specifications; manage product reliability from prototype through to end of life.
Primarily work in Da Nang but also travel to other Vietnamese third party labs (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, etc.) to perform/manage test execution and/or failure analysis.
At third party labs and contract manufacturers, perform and/or manage environmental/mechanical tests including shock, vibration, thermal cycling, etc.
Perform and/or manage failure analysis activities such as optical microscopy, x-ray, digital
micrometer, dye and pry, cross-section.
Work closely with Supplier Industrialization Engineering (SIE), Product Engineering and Test
Engineering teams to apply manufacturing knowledge to drive containment and corrective action implementation into production.
Prepare concise and detailed reliability test plans and FA reports.
Provide engineering feedback to improve product reliability and drive corrective actions.
Communicate cross functionally across the entire organization about test schedules, issues and status.
Develop in-house capabilities where needed.
Assist with written and verbal translation between the customer and suppliers and/or third-party labs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, related field or equivalent practical experience.
5-7 years of experience in quality and reliability testing including mechanical stress tests
(shock/drop/vibration, etc.) and environmental tests (thermal cycling, etc.).
Experience working with and/or managing Asia-based contract manufacturers, suppliers and thirdparty labs.
Familiar with microelectronics failure analysis tools and techniques (e.g. optical microscopy, X-ray, strain gauge analysis, dye and pry).
Experience working with FMEA, DOE, data interpretation
Knowledge of Industry Test Standards (JEDEC, ASTM, IEEE, etc)
Excellent English and Vietnamese skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide
presentations and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams; Mandarin is nice to have.
