Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Post-Graduation (Master’s or higher) in Structural Engineering and/or Water Resources Engineering
Professional engineering registration (preferred).
Additional certifications in dam safety, hydropower, or geotechnical engineering are desirable.
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the planning, design, and construction supervision of dams and related hydraulic structures.
He / She should have worked in at least 5 large dam projects.
Proven international project experience (preferred).
Demonstrated expertise in:
Concrete gravity dams, RCC dams, embankment dams, and/or arch dams.
Structural analysis and stability assessment.
Dam safety evaluation and risk assessment.
Hydraulic design of spillways, outlets, and energy dissipation structures.
Seismic analysis and flood routing studies.
Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Lead and review the structural and hydraulic design of dams and associated infrastructure.
Conduct feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, and technical due diligence.
Perform stability analyses (static and dynamic) and safety assessments.
Provide technical guidance during construction, including site inspections and quality assurance.
Review and approve design drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
Ensure compliance with international standards and guidelines (e.g., ICOLD, World Bank, FIDIC where applicable).
Mentor junior engineers and build local capacity.
Support client coordination, technical meetings, and reporting requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, HEC-RAS).
Excellent technical reporting and presentation skills.
Ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong leadership and decision-making capability.
