Job Description

Übersicht

The Data Module Validation Engineer provides onsite technical validation support for aircraft Technical Publications (Tech Pubs). The role ensures the accuracy, applicability, and regulatory compliance of S1000D data modules by validating maintenance and troubleshooting procedures against actual aircraft configuration and real maintenance practices. The position leverages Part-66 B1/B2/B3 certifying experience to ensure documentation is safe, usable, and compliant with continued airworthiness requirements.

Work Environment

  • Onsite role at OEM, MRO, or operator facilities
  • Close interaction with maintenance, engineering, and documentation teams
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on program needs

Verantwortlichkeiten

Data Module Validation

  • Validate S1000D data modules including AMM, IPC, WDM, TSM, SRM, and related publications.
  • Verify correctness of maintenance procedures, task sequencing, warnings, cautions, notes, tools, consumables, man-hours, and references.
  • Ensure consistency between procedural text, illustrations, wiring diagrams, and figures.
  • Validate fault isolation and troubleshooting steps using operational maintenance experience.

Onsite Technical Support

  • Provide onsite support to Technical Publications teams at OEM, MRO, or operator facilities.
  • Act as a maintenance subject-matter expert, representing line and base maintenance perspectives.
  • Support aircraft build, maintenance, modification, or entry-into-service activities by validating documentation usability.

Regulatory & Standards Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with EASA / FAA continued airworthiness regulations (Part-21, Part-145, Part-66).
  • Support adherence to S1000D and ATA iSpec 2200 standards and company documentation rules.
  • Support authority reviews, audits, and customer acceptance activities.

Configuration & Change Management

  • Validate data modules affected by engineering changes, SBs, ADs, and modifications.
  • Ensure correct effectively, applicability, and configuration control of published data.
  • Raise discrepancies and provide structured feedback to technical authors.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with Tech Authors, Design Engineering, Customer Support, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
  • Track and resolve documentation issues using formal reporting systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical documentation quality and usability.

Qualifikationen

Required Qualifications

  • EASA Part-66 certification: B1 and/or B2 and/or B3 (valid or recently held).
  • Proven experience in aircraft line and/or base maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and procedures.
  • Ability to read and apply AMM, IPC, WDM, and troubleshooting manuals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Technical Publications validation or authoring support.
  • Familiarity with S1000D concepts, CSDB environments, and validation workflows.
  • Experience working with OEMs, MROs, or airline documentation projects.
  • Knowledge of aircraft certification and continued airworthiness processes.
