Electric Boat - Quonset Point is seeking Deck Plate Detail Planners who are ready to work in a fast-paced production environment performing planning functions in support of Quonset Point Operations departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintenance & Development of Work Instructions using Teamcenter, & PCM/EWP
• Incorporation of design changes (CRs/CNs), LOA revisions, problem sheets, work transfers, etc.
• Adherence to planning processes & procedures with continuous improvement in mind
• Collaboration with peers and supervision for the development of new processes and procedures
• Executing department goals related to quality and attainment
• Monitoring construction schedules
• Performing tactical problem solving
• Attending meetings with prepared and attentive answers
• Collaboration with internal & external stakeholders such as operations, engineering, program office, advanced planning, & production control planning
• Detailed problem resolution with an emphasis on quality

This position is 100% on-site located at our Quonset Point and East Greenwich facilities in RI.

This department covers the following disciplines: Mechanical, Pipe, Structural, Sheetmetal, and/or Electrical.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in Trade, shipyard, military, planning/ production control, design, inventory, scheduling, project management, customer service, or logistics
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel & Word
• Experience utilizing blueprints & technical documents

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
• Experience in EB Planning, Operations (trades), Engineering, Design, or Program Office
• Knowledge of the following business systems: Teamcenter, NX, ARTEMIS, PCM/EWP MRP, & JCALS
