Microsoft Dynamics D365 Technical Architect – Manager (Managed Services)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Dynamics Technical Architect to design, implement, support, and optimize KPMG’s Microsoft-based solutions, including Dynamics 365 F&O and CE, Power Platform, Azure Data, Entra and Copilot. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics platforms, Azure cloud services, system administration, security, automation, and enterprise infrastructure management. This role is responsible for design, optimisation and documentation of solution architecture to ensure the functionality, stability, performance, scalability, and security of KPMG’s Microsoft solutions and integrated services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, document and optimize KPMG’s Microsoft solutions across Dynamics 365 F&O, CE, Dataverse, Power Platform, Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure.
• Manage Dynamics infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Manage, configure and support Azure services, networking, identity management, and security controls.
• Monitor Microsoft updates, services and application releases for new features, functions, hotfixes/patches and capabilities relevant to KPMG’s solutions.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
• Monitor and manage licensing, consumption and AI token usage within the environments to ensure efficient and optimized use of resources and controlled costs.
• Oversee environment upgrades, patching, configuration management, and system maintenance.
• Support integrations between Dynamics 365 and enterprise applications using Azure services and APIs.
• Oversee automation for deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and environment management.
• Oversee development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, performance, and application-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with developers, solution architects, business analysts, and support teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar role.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions.
• Experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with enterprise-scale deployments and environment management.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and automation practices.
