What You'll Do;
As a skilled and detail-oriented Application Engineer specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) you will support the development, configuration, and optimization of our enterprise ERP platform across our retail banners at Sporting Life Group.
Within this role, you will contribute to both the day-to-day operations and strategic enhancements of the system, ensuring that business users across Finance, Supply Chain, and Retail functions have reliable, scalable, and efficient tools to meet their needs.
You will have a strong technical background in D365 F&O, experience with ERP system integrations, and a passion for delivering high-quality business solutions in a dynamic environment.
• Configure Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations modules to support business processes and evolving requirements.
• Collaborate with functional analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Provide second- and third-level support for D365 F&O, identifying and resolving system bugs, data issues, and configuration errors.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address issues that impact availability or user experience.
• Support system updates, patching, and version upgrades in collaboration with the infrastructure and DevOps teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specs, configuration guides, and release notes.
• Participate in solution testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist in developing automated tests and validation scripts when possible.

What You'll Bring;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations in a technical or development capacity.
• Proficiency in X++, LCS (Lifecycle Services), and Visual Studio for D365 F&O development.
• Strong understanding of D365 modules including Supply Chain – Warehouse Management, MRP, Procurement, Inventory, and/or Retail.
• Strong understanding of ISVs and partner network,
• Experience with integrations using Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, or third-party middleware.
• Familiarity with data migration tools such as Data Management Framework (DMF).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications;
• Microsoft certifications in D365 F&O development or functional modules.
• Experience in retail, apparel, or supply chain environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, version control (Azure DevOps or Git), and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting tools.
• Knowledge of compliance and security best practices in ERP environments.
