Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Are you a skilled professional in the field of Cytogenetics seeking an exciting opportunity? Join our dynamic Cytogenetics Lab team!

As a Cytogenetic Technologist, you will undertake a range of critical responsibilities. Key duties include microscopic FISH analysis, karyotyping analysis utilizing computer systems, FISH wet lab procedures, slide hybridization, PET slide preparation, and proficiency in cell and tissue culture techniques. This role encompasses both non-routine and complex procedures, such as C-banding, NOR stain, FISH, high-resolution analysis, CVS direct and indirect set-up, as well as leukemia blood, bone marrow, and solid tumor analysis. Additionally, responsibilities extend to method development-modification-parallel testing, collaboration on or independent preparation of abstracts or manuscripts, repair of laboratory instruments, sample processing, reagent preparation, and data entry.

Salary Range: $59.06/hour - $77.95/hour


Job Qualifications

•Current, valid California Clinical Cytogeneticist license.

•ASCP Cytogenetics certification.

•Bachelor’s degree.

•A minimum of 1 year of Cytogenetics experience.
