At Fulton Hogan, good work starts with good people. We have secured the Gore Road Maintenance contract and are now looking for people in Gore and the wider Southland area to join our team delivering essential road maintenance services to the local community.

We are currently recruiting for a Grader Driver and Cyclic Crew roles. These are practical, field-based positions supporting day-to-day maintenance, cyclic works, response activities, and general network upkeep.

We’re looking for reliable, hands-on people who take pride in quality work, value safety, and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. Whether your strength is operating a grader or delivering road maintenance work on the ground, this is an opportunity to be part of a local contract that helps keep the Gore network safe and connected.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of road maintenance and operational work across the local network.
  • Carry out cyclic maintenance, response work, and general road upkeep safely and to a high standard.
  • Operate a grader where required or contribute to hands-on field activities as part of the Cyclic Crew.
  • Follow Fulton Hogan systems, client requirements, and site safety expectations at all times.
  • Work as part of a team focused on keeping communities connected and the network safe for road users.

  • Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, plant operation, or related field-based work.
  • Relevant licences, endorsements, and operating capability suited to either a Grader Driver or Cyclic Crew role.
  • A strong safety-first approach and a commitment to quality outcomes for clients and communities.
  • A reliable, team-focused attitude, with the flexibility to adapt and pitch in where needed.
  • Motivation, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow with the team.
