BASIC PURPOSE:
Under limited Supervision, helps maintain accurate inventory levels and product quality by performing essential clerical functions, including records compilation and retention, computer updates and requisition preparation. Deliver timely and accurate inventory and adjustment records to support an order and shipping index that exceeds Customer expectations. Ensure produce quality that is received from supplier, stored in the warehouse, and shipped to our customers meets the specifications set by US Foods.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am - Until Completion, Saturday availability based on business needs.
Starting Pay: $23.00/hr
Perform daily inventory counts and audits and provide detailed documentation of results.
Research transactions and exceptions to derive root cause and provide resolution.
Request, prepare, compile and retain reports and records in printed and electronic form.
Identify products in inventory database; Identify code dates on products.
Perform daily inspections of all incoming fresh produce deliveries and the inspection of all fresh produce in inventory within our coolers.
Communicate daily with the replenishment lead and warehouse manager on all issues related to fresh produce.
Make recommendations on dump and damage or repackaging.
Verify Purchase Order quantities and inspect quality for all inbound perishable loads.
Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of fresh produce. Identify any issues to warehouse management.
Responsible for checking for proper rotation of all produce inventory.
Perform daily quality inspections for all fresh produce items in inventory.
Perform daily date checks and pull all outdated fresh produce from pick and reserve slots
Perform related clerical tasks and audits to support warehouse logistics.
Adhere to Company standards for Safety, product handling and Food Safety.
Work in multiple environments, including office as well as ambient, refrigerated and frozen storage areas.
Other Duties as Assigned by Manager
Relevant Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
Experience operating material handling equipment including motorized pallet jack and forklift
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product.
Comfortable working in a multi-temperature indoor/outdoor environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $18.00/hr - $30.00/hr. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
