The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels through routine cycle counting, investigation of discrepancies, and timely reconciliation of inventory records. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring material accuracy within the warehouse and (production/manufacturing) environment, helping to prevent shortages, overages, and production delays.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts on raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods based on established schedules.
• Verify physical inventory against system records (ERP/WMS) and investigate discrepancies.
• Research root causes of inventory variances and collaborate with warehouse, production, and material control teams to resolve issues.
• Accurately enter count results and adjustments into inventory systems in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Audit transactions such as receipts, transfers, and shipments to ensure compliance with internal processes.
• Assist in maintaining organized and clean storage locations to support efficient counting and material flow.
• Support year-end physical inventory and external/internal audits.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing counts in warehouse and production environments.
• Communicate discrepancies, trends, and risks to supervisors and leadership.
• Operate forklift according to Suncast safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of inventory control or warehousing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Moderate level of computer proficiency required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The Anticipated Pay Range for This Position: $20.00-$21.00 hourly
