About this role


The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and reporting. This role supports Materials Planning and SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) processes while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. The position works under direct supervision and collaborates cross-functionally with Planning, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts of materials based on the ABC inventory classification system as directed by the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and submit accurate reports related to inventory counts and bin locations.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies and support implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Respond to inquiries from Planning, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering teams in a timely manner.
  • Support Materials Planning and SIOP program management tasks under direct supervision.
  • Translate, distribute, and maintain materials related to planning policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collect and analyze basic data on a periodic basis (monthly, quarterly) and help maintain data management systems.
  • Prepare routine reports detailing Materials Planning and SIOP activities.
  • Develop basic communication materials to support operational processes.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and company policies at all times.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to climb ladders or operate lift equipment above 8 feet.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to follow procedures, apply best practices, and report unsafe or unprofessional behavior.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
