Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to support a highly complex Information Assurance program. In this role, you’ll work at the forefront of national security, ensuring advanced systems meet the highest standards of security, performance, and compliance.

What You’ll Do

As a trusted technical leader, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of key systems engineering documentation, including:

    • Systems Engineering Plans

    • Initial Capabilities Documents

    • Requirements Specifications

    • Security requirements and security test documentation

  • Provide technical leadership across system development, integration, and testing activities

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation efforts

  • Conduct systems requirements reviews and perform both technical and non-technical assessments

  • Support planning and test analysis for the DoD Certification & Accreditation (C&A) process and other Government C&A processes

  • Perform high-assurance cybersecurity evaluation activities for devices undergoing certification

  • Review and assess security artifacts to ensure compliance with stringent security requirements

  • Clearly document security deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations

  • Translate vulnerability insights into practical risk mitigation guidance

  • Recommend improvements to requirements, processes, and templates to strengthen overall security posture

  • Collaborate across teams and participate in security-focused meetings and technical reviews

What You Bring

  • 8 years of Systems Engineering experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field

    • (Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a degree)

  • Strong background in Information Assurance and/or Cryptographic systems

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in collaborative team environments and leading small technical teams

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Bonus Experience

  • Experience supporting Space, Weapon, Ground, or Terminal system development or evaluation

  • Direct experience with DoD Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes

  • Space Systems Engineering experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
