Job Description

Cybersecurity Project Manager

About the Role

Signal Energy is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to help build, execute, and continuously mature the company’s enterprise cybersecurity program. This role is responsible for translating cybersecurity strategy into actionable controls, processes, and practices that protect the business while enabling growth. The Project Manager will work directly with the Director of Cybersecurity and Digital Operations to operationalize, and mature Signal Energy’s enterprise cybersecurity program. This role translates strategy into execution by turning frameworks, policies, and risk priorities into real, measurable and repeatable security practices across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong programmatic mindset, hands-on security knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across IT, Digital, and business teams in a fast-paced EPC environment. This role is ideal for someone motivated to build and mature a cybersecurity program rather than simply maintain existing tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Signal Energy’s cybersecurity program, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Operationalize execution of cybersecurity initiatives aligned with recognized frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS).
  • Coordinate and track cybersecurity program activities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Oversee and coordinate security operations activities, including vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors providing cybersecurity services and supporting the cybersecurity program.
  • Partner with IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, and Digital Product teams to embed security into systems and workflows.
  • Support identity and access management governance, including access reviews and role-based access controls.
  • Manage cybersecurity risk assessments, control testing, and remediation tracking.
  • Support audit activities, including control validation and evidence collection.
  • Drive vendor risk management and third-party security assessments.
  • Contribute to security awareness, training, and communication efforts across the organization.
  • Maintain cybersecurity documentation, metrics, and executive-ready reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk roles with a strong program execution focus.
  • Experience supporting or implementing enterprise cybersecurity programs and controls.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
  • Basic to intermediate technical understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, identity management, and endpoint security.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Exposure to environments leveraging Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint protection platforms (e.g.,CrowdStrike), vulnerability management tools, and SIEM technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EPC, construction, engineering, or other project-based industries.
  • Exposure to cloud security concepts, preferably within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, or identity platforms.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, SSCP, or equivalent.

What We’re Looking For

  • A self-driven professional who takes ownership of cybersecurity outcomes.
  • Someone who balances policy and governance with practical, implementable security controls.
  • A collaborative partner who can influence without authority and work effectively across teams.
  • A security practitioner who understands the importance of enabling the business, not slowing it down.
  • Someone who enjoys turning cybersecurity strategy into organized, trackable, and repeatable execution across the business.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a natural ability to bring structure to complex initiatives.
  • A pragmatic “thinker-doer” Project Manager who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution—willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver work safely, efficiently, and on time.
