As a Cyber Engineering - Risk professional, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our systems and networks from cyber threats. You'll be part of a team that's shaping the future of cybersecurity in the financial industry.
How you succeed
We are seeking a senior cybersecurity cloud engineering leader to drive the design, engineering, and governance of secure hybrid and multi‑cloud platforms across the organisation. This role is responsible for ensuring cloud and platform security capabilities are embedded by design, scalable, and aligned with regulatory expectations in a highly regulated environment.
The position will lead enterprise‑wide cloud security engineering initiatives covering cloud infrastructure, container platforms, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI‑enabled workloads, ensuring security, resilience, and operational readiness across the full lifecycle of cloud adoption.
The role will act as the technical and engineering authority for cloud and platform security, working closely with CTS leadership, Risk, Audit, Infrastructure teams, and cyber defence programme leadership to drive secure transformation and long‑term platform sustainability.
What you do
Define and lead the enterprise cloud security engineering strategy across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments (public cloud, private cloud, and on‑prem platforms).
Establish and enforce security‑by‑design principles across cloud platforms, containers, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI workloads.
Design and implement secure cloud architectures, including network segmentation, identity controls, runtime protection, monitoring, and resilience frameworks.
Lead engineering and governance of container platforms and modern application environments (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift), ensuring secure deployment and lifecycle management.
Drive DevSecOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and automated provisioning workflows.
Ensure platform readiness through robust controls covering IAM, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, and operational resilience.
Act as the senior technical authority for cloud security risk, control design, and regulatory alignment, ensuring compliance with MAS TRM and related requirements.
Work with Risk and Audit teams to ensure cloud security controls are auditable, measurable, and continuously monitored.
Lead cloud and platform security transformation initiatives, including adoption of new technologies, modernisation of legacy systems, and integration of emerging capabilities such as AI and advanced analytics.
Drive adoption of automation and AI‑enabled security engineering approaches to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
Partner closely with CTS to ensure all cloud capabilities are operationally ready for Day‑2 support, with clear ownership models, observability, and supportability built in.
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (architecture, infrastructure, application teams) to ensure aligned delivery of secure platforms at scale.
Provide senior stakeholder engagement and advisory, translating complex technical and security risks into business outcomes for leadership and governance forums.
Who you are
15+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity engineering, with strong exposure to enterprise and regulated environments.
Proven leadership experience in designing and securing hybrid and multi‑cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
Strong experience with container platforms, DevSecOps, and automation frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure‑as‑Code).
Demonstrated experience embedding security‑by‑design across cloud and platform environments, including identity, network, and workload protection.
Strong understanding of regulatory and audit requirements (e.g. MAS TRM or similar frameworks), with experience delivering compliant cloud platforms.
Proven ability to lead large‑scale platform transformation initiatives and drive cross‑functional engineering outcomes.
Hands‑on technical background with the ability to provide deep engineering guidance, not limited to high‑level architecture.
Experience applying automation and AI‑based approaches to improve platform security, monitoring, or operational efficiency is strongly preferred.
