Cybersecurity Analyst - India

This role is Office Based, Mumbai Office

Cybersecurity Analyst | Mumbai

The analyst is responsible for monitoring, triaging, and responding to security alerts within the Security Operations Center (SOC). This is an entry-level role focused on initial detection, analysis, and escalation of cybersecurity incidents to maintain organizational security posture

In this role, you will…

Monitor security alerts from tools such as SIEM, EDR, cloud security, and identity platforms.
Perform initial alert triage and validation to determine if alerts are true or false positives.
Investigate security events by reviewing logs, indicators, and contextual data.
Create and update incident tickets with findings, actions taken, and status.
Follow defined SOC runbooks and procedures for incident response.
Escalate confirmed or complex incid
ents to Tier 2 analysts for deeper investigation.
Assist in basic threat intelligence checks (e.g., IP/domain reputation lookups).
Support vulnerability tracking and remediation coordination when required.
Participate in shift handovers and maintain proper documentation of ongoing incidents.
Contribute to reducing false positives through feedback and alert tuning.

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
Familiarity with security concepts such as malware, phishing, and access control.
Exposure to security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or log monitoring platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow processes and document findings clearly.
Good communication skills for coordination and escalation.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Security certifications such as Security+, CEH (basic level)
Hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
