Position Overview: Cybersecurity Analyst

Hours/Day: 8 hours

Days/Year: School Year

Compensation/benefits: Technology Contract

** The review of applications will begin the week of October 12th**

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools and infrastructure
• Recommend and enforce security procedures for all district technology assets, including network infrastructure, servers, and end-user devices
• Serve as the primary technical responder for security incidents; lead containment, investigation, remediation, and recovery efforts
• Monitor security alerts and logs (e.g., from SIEM, firewalls, and EDR) to detect, triage, and respond to suspicious activities in real-time
• Proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities to reduce the district's attack surface
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all cybersecurity systems, procedures, and incident response playbooks
• Develop and help deliver cybersecurity awareness training materials and presentations for staff and students
• Position may require flexible hours and attendance outside of the normal work day

License / Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Sufficient relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).Associate in Arts degree in Cybersecurity or a relevant field with 5 years of experience may be considered
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity operations, analyst, or engineering role
• Experience in a K-12 or higher education environment is highly preferred
• Demonstrable experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs), endpoint security (EDR, anti-virus), and security information and event management (SIEM) tools
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Student Information Systems) is a plus
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GSEC, CISSP, or equivalent) are preferred
