Cybersecurity Analyst

Shift: Fully Remote
Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: $30.53 - $38.16

Works under the guidance of a Cybersecurity Analyst II to oversee the corporate network and computer security posture. Completes tasks designed to ensure the organization's online systems and digital assets are secured. Protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of digital assets, and contributes to IT security policies and standards. Works with end users to determine cybersecurity needs of individual departments. Understands Internet architecture and firewall configuration to protect system security.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
• Help implement and monitor security controls necessary to protect the organization from all forms of malicious cyber activity.
• Conduct information audits to verify the sufficiency and effectiveness of security safeguards, standards, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate responses to security incidents and ensure timely corrective and preventative actions.
• Recommend changes to information systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security policies, procedures and safeguards.
• Maintain all security related documentation and records.
• Develop procedures to monitor and manage security related complaints and incidents.
• Execute daily security processing routines and reporting.
• Serve as a security resource to departments and end-users.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cyber Security or related field.

Experience
• At least 3 years working in a technical role in healthcare or related field.
• Experience with Information System Security (ISS), PKI, firewalls, intrusion detection/protection and related vulnerability assessment tools for network periphery and internal network/service discovery and topology mapping.
• Working knowledge with various technologies including forensic tools, network monitoring tools, host security prevention tools, etc.
• Self-motivator who monitors the news and threat reports in order to ascertain the potential risks to the company.
• Experience with cloud security technologies a plus.

Certifications and Licenses
• CISSP, CCSP CEH, SSCP, Security+, Certificate in Cyber Security, or related certifications strongly preferred.
