Job Description

Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst on the DISA GSM-O II program at DISA Europe in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is 100% on-site and rotating shiftwork is required.

This position will perform advanced cyber threat intelligence analysis, correlate actionable security events, perform network traffic analysis using raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS and custom sensor output as it pertains to the cyber security of communications networks, and lead the coordination of resources during incident response efforts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review DoD and open source intelligence for threats.
  • Identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and integrate those into sensors and SIEMs.
  • Utilize alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, netflow, and custom sensors to identify compromises on customer networks/endpoints Review massive log files, pivot between data sets, and correlate evidence for incident investigations Assist junior analysts with triage and analysis.
  • Complete deep-level cyber analysis of potential events.
  • Report incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM.
  • Active participant in CCMD Tier 1 exercises, table top exercises, and DISA Enterprise Hunts
  • Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance required to start, with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI. Active TS/SCI preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a NATO Secret clearance.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT level II certification or higher (such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC, etc.) required to start.
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP-Analyst level certification (such as CEH, CySA+, GCIA, etc.) within 180 days of starting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience; additional work experience or military service may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, Full Packet Capture), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain and an ability to think and work independently.
  • Willing to perform shift work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g. Elasticsearch Kibana, ArcSight, Splunk, Nitro/McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, QRadar, LogLogic).
  • Experience supporting CCMD customers, coalition environments, and NATO partners
  • Experience and proficiency with any of the following: Elasticsearch Kibana, Splunk, Anti-Virus, HIPS/HBSS, IDS/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Network Forensics.
  • Experience with malware analysis concepts and methods.
  • Unix/Linux command line experience.
  • Scripting and programming experience.
  • Motivated self-starter and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.
  • Familiarity or experience in Intelligence Driven Defense and/or Cyber Kill Chain methodology.
  • Existing 8570 CSSP Analyst Certifications (CEH), CySA+, etc.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
