Job Description

At People First Bank, we're building a modern cyber security capability to support one of Australia's largest customer-owned banks.

As part of our technology transformation journey, we're seeking an experienced Cyber Technical Lead with deep Saviynt expertise to lead the design, development and implementation and ongoing maturity of our Saviynt Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) capability.

This is a unique opportunity to be the technical leader for a strategic platform that sits at the centre of our identity security roadmap. You'll help shape how identity governance is designed, implemented and embedded across a newly merged organisation while working on large-scale transformation initiatives that will have a lasting impact on our technology environment.

The opportunity:

We're looking for someone who brings deep hands-on capability in Saviynt, combined with the ability to influence stakeholders, guide technical decisions and translate complex identity security requirements into practical business outcomes.

This role will be the technical authority for Saviynt development, guide solution design, coach team members and uplift the Cyber Identity capability to automated, scalable and supportable services.

You'll work closely with technology, architecture, your peers in cyber security and business stakeholders to implement Saviynt solutions that strengthen identity governance, automate identity lifecycle processes and improve the reliability and efficiency of services.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the technical direction and ongoing evolution of the bank's IGA capability with the Saviynt platform.
  • Leading hands on with the design, development and implementation of Saviynt workflows, integrations, connections and automation.
  • Establish and maintain Saviynt development, testing and release standards and processes.
  • Translating security and control requirements into practical technical solutions within Saviynt.
  • Improve joiner, mover and leaver processes through workflow re-design and automation.
  • Lead platform upgrades, feature adoption and capability extension.
  • Coach and mentor cyber security colleagues in Saviynt configuration, development, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Supporting major transformation, integration and modernisation initiatives
  • Partnering with stakeholders across cyber security, enterprise architecture and technology delivery teams

About you:

To be successful in this role, you'll have proven experience delivering and leading Saviynt environments within large, complex organisations.

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

Essential:

  • Strong hands-on experience developing and configuring Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud.
  • Experience implementing, configuring and supporting Saviynt in complex enterprise environments, including multiple Microsoft domains.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing joiner, mover and leaver workflows.
  • Experience developing application connectors, provisioning integrations, reconciliation processes and access-request workflows.
  • Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management, joiner-mover-leaver processes, access certification, access governance and entitlement management.
  • Experience integrating Saviynt with HR systems, Active Directory, cloud directories and enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of access provisioning, access reviews and identity governance best practice.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing Saviynt development, testing, documentation and deployment standards.
  • Ability to lead technical decision-making and influence delivery outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills

Highly regarded:

  • Saviynt certifications or advanced training.
  • Experience in banking, financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of APRA CPS 234 and cyber security regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Okta, Delinea, Active Directory and Entra environments.
  • Experience with cloud identity, non-human identities and modern authentication standards
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control and automated testing
  • Experience mentoring technical specialists and building internal development capability.

Why join People First Bank?

This is an opportunity to do more than administer a platform.

You'll play a key role in shaping identity security within a newly merged organisation, influence strategic technology decisions, and help build enterprise-scale cyber security capabilities that protect more than 700,000 (and growing) customers across Australia.

We offer:

  • Hybrid working and flexible arrangements

  • A competitive salary package

  • Wellbeing support, including our Employee Assistance Program, wellbeing leave and mental health initiatives

  • Paid volunteering, Workplace Giving and opportunities to contribute to the community

  • A values-led culture where care, integrity, trust, authenticity and respect guide how we work

If you're a Saviynt specialist looking to step into a highly visible technical leadership role where you can influence strategy, architecture and delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
