  • industrial controls Ecosystem Hardening: Execute hands-on technical hardening and configuration of industrial controls-heavy environments (80% focus).

  • Industrial Networking: Deploy and manage advanced security tools such as SCALANCE S Industrial Security Appliances and demilitarized zones (DMZ) to protect industrial protocols like PROFINET and OPC UA, including configuring the SINEC Secure Connect Zero Trust platform.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure continuous and demonstrable compliance with NIST CSF 2.0 (specifically the "Govern" function), IEC 62443 standards, and the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF).

  • Government Standards: Maintain expert knowledge of relevant Australian Government requirements, including the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

  • International Travel: Perform on-site security assessments for globally deployed mission-critical systems, requiring international travel (estimated up to 50% depending on project needs)

Basic Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in a security-focused engineering or specialist role, with a demonstrated focus on industrial or mission-critical environments.
  • Frameworks: Demonstrated application of NIST CSF 2.0, IEC 62443, and maturity-based assessments using AESCSF or similar frameworks.

  • Communication: Expert proficiency in composing executive-level security reports that translate technical and OT risks into strategic business language.
