Job Description

GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage is seeking an Entry-Level OT Cybersecurity Engineer to support the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of cybersecurity solutions for Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role will assist with developing secure network configurations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements, and supporting commissioning activities. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, works well in team environments, and is eager to contribute to the development of secure and reliable OT system designs.

The required work location is Findlay Township, PA (financial assistance for relocation provided if not already local).

Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not supported for this position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity designs for OT/industrial control system environments.
  • Assist in creating and reviewingnetwork configurationsto align with cybersecurity requirements and operational needs.
  • Follow applicableindustry standards, internal procedures, and customer requirementsduring design and execution.
  • Participate intesting and validationof OT cybersecurity solutions to confirm functionality, performance, and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, accuratetechnical documentation, including design packages, network diagrams, test procedures, and reports.
  • Supportcommissioning activitiesat project sites, including system checks, troubleshooting, and coordination with field teams.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, operations, field service, and project management.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to team members, stakeholders, and customers as needed.
  • Contribute to identifying cybersecurity risks and recommending practical mitigation measures.
  • Assist in leading thedevelopment of engineering designsunder the guidance of senior engineers and project leads.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree inCybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Understanding ofOT/ICS environments, industrial networks, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals such as IP addressing, switches, routers, firewalls, and segmentation.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity standards or frameworks such asISA/IEC 62443, NIST, or NERC CIPis a plus.
  • Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in ateam-oriented environmentand collaborate across functions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to supportcommissioning and field activities.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of industrial protocols such asModbus, UDP/TCP, IEC61850, DNP3, OPC DA/UA, or Ethernet/IP.
  • Experience with technical documentation, network drawings, or cybersecurity assessments through coursework, internships, or projects.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to follow established requirements and processes while contributing to design improvements.
  • Understanding ofOT/ICS environments, industrial networks, and cybersecurity principles.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
