The Role

IAG Defence & National Security is seeking an experienced ICT and Cyber Security Assessment and Authorisation Specialist to support complex Defence capability environments. This role will suit someone who understands Defence ICT, cyber assurance and capability delivery, and can provide practical security advice across projects, delivery teams and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ICT and cyber security assessment and authorisation advice across Defence capability delivery activities.
  • Support delivery agencies and capability stakeholders with practical security guidance and subject matter expertise.
  • Review security documentation, risks, controls and assurance evidence to support informed decision-making.
  • Work with technical, project and governance teams to help progress security outcomes in line with Defence requirements.
  • Communicate complex cyber and ICT assurance matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

About You

  • Current NV1 security clearance is required.
  • Strong understanding of ICT security, cyber assurance, assessment and authorisation within Defence or Commonwealth environments.
  • Experience supporting complex capability, technology or security programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret security requirements, identify risks and provide clear, practical recommendations.
  • Confident communicator who can work independently while staying closely connected with project and delivery teams.

    A current NV1 clearance
