Cyber security Architect - Threat management

As a Cyber Security Architect within the GSIS Cyber Security Expert Group, you will help define, design, and deploy security capabilities across Philips' global enterprise landscape, with a primary focus on Threat Management and opportunities to contribute across other cybersecurity domains.

You will be learning different landscapes in Philips and drive towards the preferred Philips standards. You will work closely with SOC, product security IT, business engagement teams, and Business Units to drive our Threat management area.

You will also manage the security posture of critical third-party vendors and help drive continuous maturity across our development and R&D ecosystem.

This role requires leadership, influence, and the ability to partner effectively across technical and nontechnical teams to promote security as a key business enabler.


Your role:

  • Defining the target architecture and implementation patterns/proposals for cyber security capabilities that Philips requires.
  • Work closely with business engagement team to understand the different architecture landscape with in Philips BU’s, Regions and functions to drive towards a standard security architecture.
  • Alignment with security team leaders and fellow Cyber security architects responsible for implementing the target architecture, creating business case-based roadmaps and assisting with solution selection and implementation
  • Maintaining the Philips Security architecture model and architecture pattern library regarding these capabilities.

You are a part of

You will be part of the Business Engagement & Cyber Experts team within the Information Security department of Philips Group Security. In this role, your primary focus will be on Philips’ Threat Management capabilities, while also contributing to other cybersecurity domains as the team continues to evolve and expand its capabilities.


You're the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity.
  • More than 5 years of practical experience in the selection and implementation of security solutions.
  • A seasoned architectural mindset, with the ability to define, communicate, and advocate for security architecture principles, standards, and strategic direction.
  • AI affinity and innovation mindset – Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI‑driven solutions, analytics, and automation to improve security effectiveness and decision‑making.
  • The drive to structurally improve Philips security stance through disruptive change in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a concise and pragmatic approach to decision-making.
  • The ability to balance attention to technical detail with a strategic, big-picture perspective.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey extremely complex concepts into easy-to-understand terms for non-security professionals.
  • Excellent language and communication skills in English.

Compensation & Benefits
Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is 78,187.00 – € 130,312.00 We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for 6% Short-Term Incentive, with your rewards linked to both individual performance and company results.
