Asda's Cyber Security function are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Governance and Risk function of our dedicated team. If you are a Cyber Security Analyst looking to pursue your career within an organisation that understands the importance and value in building a strong Cyber Security function this could be the role for you.

Please be advised that this position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

You will:

  • Perform risk analysis reviews on systems and solutions, identifying security control gaps, the risks they present and defining remediation options.
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements across a broad technical security environment.
  • Build relationships with multiple internal business stakeholders.
  • Deliver all work to the highest standard, following and driving industry best practice at every opportunity.
  • Help to spread Cybersecurity Awareness across the business units.
  • Support in the delivery and processing of Security Service to ensure that requests are worked and resolved quickly and effusively.
  • Regularly suggest new initiatives and innovative ideas, to improve our ways of working and help to enhance the service and support we offer to our customers.

  • Demonstrate a customer service mindset to deliver high quality, results driven, business focused, security solutions.
  • Innovate approaches to security to help ASDA be industry leaders in customer and business security.
  • A good working knowledge and experience of security risk analysis for technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry-related security frameworks and policies (e.g. PCI, ISO27001, GDPR and NIST).
  • Ability to engage with a cross-section of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, at various levels of seniority.
  • A pragmatic, business focused approach to cybersecurity, capable of analysis of all aspects of risk and benefit.
  • A passion for cybersecurity with the desire to continually learn, develop and innovate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proven track record in a similar role and able to demonstrate the skills required to fulfil the responsibilities in this role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in security technology and how it reduces or eliminates risk in an enterprise.
