This role focuses onperforming risk assessmentsin accordancewiththe team’s practises andguidelines as well as implementing andassessingcyber security controls,in alignment to the Cyber uplift program,supporting governance and compliance initiatives, and helping strengthen Anglicare’s cyber security posture. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will contribute to controls assurance activities, risk assessments and continuous monitoring programs that help protect Anglicare’s critical systems,dataand digital assets

Your opportunity
The Cyber Risk and Controls Analystplaysan important rolein supporting Anglicare’s cyber security governance, risk management,and to alesser degree,controlsimplementation andassuranceactivities. You willdeterminesecurityeffectivenessthrough risk assessments,aswell as implementing and assessing cyber security controls, in alignment to the Cyber uplift program,monitorcompliance with security frameworks and standards, and provide insights that help strengthen cyber resilience across the organisation.
Working alongside Cyber Security, ITArchitectureand business stakeholders, you will support control validation, governance frameworks, riskassessmentsand remediation initiatives while helping ensure Anglicaremaintainsa secure and resilient technology environment.
With ownership, you will:
You will support the development and maintenance of governance and compliance frameworks, conduct risk assessments and gap analyses,monitorcontrol performance and remediation activities, and contribute to security assurance initiatives. You will also prepare reports and documentation, support governanceprocessesand work closely with stakeholders to strengthen cyber security controls and reduce organisational risk.
What you’ll bring
You are a cyber security professional with experience inrisk assessments,controls assurance,complianceandgovernance. You have agoodunderstanding of cyber security control frameworks,in particular the SCF framework,compliancerequirementsand security best practices, and enjoy analysing complex environments toidentifycontrol gaps and opportunities for improvement.
You combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities. You are detail-oriented,collaborativeand proactive, with the ability to translate technical findings into practical recommendations that support business and securityobjectives You are also committed to continuous learning and staying informed about emerging threats,technologiesand regulatory developments.
You will also need:
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, RiskManagementor a related field. Certifications such as CRISC, CISM or ISO 27001 are highly desirable.
• 3+ years’ experience in cyber security, governance, riskmanagementor compliance-related roles.
• Experience assessing andvalidatingcyber security controls and supporting controls assurance activities.
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards including SCF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53 and CIS Controls.
• Experience with control testing, evidence review, gap analysis and remediation tracking.
• Understanding of continuous control monitoring, compliancereportingand security assurance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to organisation-wide cyber security and governance initiatives.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
