This is an exciting opportunity to join the Textron security team as a Cyber Associate, OAM. In this role, you will assist in troubleshooting issues with security controls, assist with improving our automation processes, keeping our security controls updated to the latest versions, and participating in disaster recovery of critical enterprise security solutions test. The selected candidate will have a strong analytical capability, the ability to work individually and as part of a team, and the desire to gain expertise in information security.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues that arise with our security control tool set by analyzing log data and collaborating with our vendors and customers.
  • Function as the point of contact for accepting, collecting, sorting, ordering, and passing on incoming information for reported cyber events.
  • Facilitate and expedite the tracking, handling, and reporting of all security events and computer incidents in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Continue to learn various security tools and document knowledge articles for the tools.
  • Solve complex technical issues with limited supervision.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of service to our customers.
  • Collaboration with the other Textron Enterprise Security teams to ensure security controls continue to run smoothly during transitioning of software between teams.
  • Implement Automation for repetitive processes.
  • Operational support for Security Operations tools including patching and upgrades.
  • Engage with internal customer and vendors to ensure services are meeting demands.
  • Measure the effectiveness of security controls using defined metrics.
  • Administer and Operate security controls and measures to protect the organization's sensitive data, systems, and networks.
  • Prepare and test disaster recovery of critical enterprise security solutions.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Assurance/Security or related field required.
  • 0-4 years’ experience of relevant professional experience
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance required.
  • (ISC)², Microsoft, CompTIA, or GIAC certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of a scripting language, Python or PowerShell preferred.

Skills/Competencies

  • Familiar with common server and authentication technologies.
  • Strong practical experience with anti-virus, firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, security event and incident management systems and web security technologies
  • Ability to work individually and part of a team with little supervision.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and communications skills with ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An elevated level of personal integrity with the ability to manage confidential matters.
  • Strong collaborative people skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors, IT and business personnel.
  • Follow ITIL best practices for service delivery.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
