HII Mission Technologies has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Security Engineering (Cybersecurity) professional supporting the Fighters and Advanced Aircraft and Bombers Directorates at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
As a System Security Engineering (Cybersecurity) Professional, you will integrate cybersecurity, System Security Engineering (SSE), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment and Authorization (A&A), and Department of War (DoW)/Department of the Air Force acquisition requirements across aircraft, avionics, weapon systems, cyber-physical embedded Operational Technology (OT), and related mission technologies.
This position works on-site within a military/government executive program office supporting senior leaders, program managers, engineers, OEMs, contractors, and acquisition stakeholders. The role is technical-administrative, focused on SSE, RMF/A&A, cybersecurity risk, technical documentation, engineering support, and executive decision support—not SOC, incident response, network operations, or system administration.
The successful candidate will possess progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, SSE, systems engineering, avionics, information technology, networking, OT, or a related technical field, with demonstrated independence, technical judgment, ownership, and ability to solve complex problems. Candidates must be self-directed, collaborative lifelong learners with working knowledge of avionics, mission systems, cyber-physical embedded OT, and networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing/switching, segmentation, security boundaries, encryption, authentication, authorization, interfaces, and data flows.
This individual can be a Level 3 or 4, depending on experience:
Execute DoW RMF/A&A activities, including system categorization, security control selection and tailoring, implementation review, evidence development, risk analysis, assessment support, and authorization package development.
