Job Duties:

  • The CWS Program Coordinator I assists with the implementation and running of the statewide Supplemental Legal Guardianship (SLG) program.
  • Serves as the coordinator for Title IV-E and Non-IV-E supplemental legal guardianship eligibility determination for children by receiving, reviewing, and maintaining all required documents.
  • Provides training and technical assistance on eligibility for all supplemental legal guardianship programs including but not limited to Title IV-E and Non-IV-E supplemental legal guardianship subsidy and non-recurring costs.
  • Participates and/or facilitates monthly staffing's with assigned County Offices and Regional Adoption Offices regarding potential cases that could qualify for subsidized legal guardianship permanency option.
  • Participates and/or facilitates Child and Family Team Meetings to discuss subsidized legal guardianship as a possible permanency option with all involved parties.
  • Creates and maintains the financial folder and the SLG Assistance Agreement for supplemental legal guardianship.
  • Works with Program Development and Finance on settling financial problems or disputes concerning over payment of Social Security, Veteran's benefits or other resources of income for eligible children.
  • Assists with eligibility determination and payments for the Non-recurring Costs Reimbursement Program.
  • Maintains databases related to supplement legal guardianship subsidy including but not limited to CAPSS, OnBase, and CAPSS Online.
  • Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment, and data.
  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duties/services as directed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Examples of duties

A Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.

A Master's Degree or higher may be substituted for required work experience.
