
The CWRU Community Pantry and Dean of Students Office Student Employee will support the mission and foster the development and growth of the CWRU Community Pantry. The CWRU Community Pantry offers free resources such as perishable and shelf stable food items, hygiene products, and cleaning products. The CWRU Community Pantry is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. The Dean of Students Office oversees the CWRU Community Pantry and serves in an advocacy role for all CWRU students.
This position will only be for Summer 2026.
Responsibilities
Stock shelves
Sort donations
Unload boxes after a pick-up or delivery
Help with food pick-ups when needed
Provide positive customer service to everyone who visits
Assist with social media development
Promote awareness of food insecurity on campus
Participate in team meetings
Keep the pantry clean and organized
Assist with PantryTrak check-ins and maintaining the pantry’s line
Table at events to advertise the CWRU Community Pantry and the Dean of Students Office
Assist with temperature logs when needed
Inspect food for quality assurance
Assist with inventory sheet and check for expiration dates
Maintain privacy of all who use the pantry
Other duties as assigned
Hours
Shifts available on Thursdays from 1-5pm and Fridays 11am-2pm.
8 hours per week in total.

Attend all assigned tabling/marketing events
Come to work with a positive attitude
Notify the supervisor when a scheduled shift cannot be covered
Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
Treat everyone with respect and be polite to all

Compensation
$12.22/hr (Federal Work-Study Students only)
Minimum Skills
Working knowledge of Google Sheets
Working knowledge of social media and platforms to create flyers and other media
Creative and independent thinking
Organizational capabilities

Ability to lift 20 pounds or more
