This team works with the latest equipment including DaVinci Robot, O Arm and TAVAR programs.
As a Surgical Tech you will have an opportunity to work with some of Banner Health’s finest Surgeons and Nurses as you grow in your career. Under the direction of the RN, you will assist in various procedures. You would function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and demonstrate investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. You will apply good interpersonal and communication process utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve organizational service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.

This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Scrubs and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedure. Participants in the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned. Is proficient to scrub on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
The Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting the physician with advanced tasks during surgical procedures which include cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, cardiac assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions. The CVOR ST must be able to work under high pressure in a fast paced environment.
CORE FUNCTIONS
High school diploma/GED and current basic life support certification.
Requires certification as a surgical technologist and one to two years of experience in a surgical technologist role OR three to four years in a surgical technologist role. Where applicable must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
This position must be able to scrub proficiently on a minimum of two surgical specialties. The position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations. The position requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the surgeon and patient. Must stay abreast of new developments in the field.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
