Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.

Central Virginia Community College ( CVCC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support the operations of the CVCC Educational Foundation and Institutional Advancement office. This position plays a critical role in advancing the college’s mission by ensuring efficient scholarship administration, donor stewardship, board engagement, and foundation operations.

This position serves as a key operational partner within the Institutional Advancement team, managing core processes that support student scholarships, donor engagement, foundation governance, and grant tracking. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and a commitment to excellent service for students, donors, board members, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Foundation’s scholarship process from application through award and reporting
  • Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agendas, materials, and minutes
  • Support daily office operations, budgets, events, and executive scheduling
  • Process and track donor gifts, pledges, and acknowledgments
  • Assist with grant tracking, reporting, and reimbursement requests
  • Serve as a key point of contact for students, donors, and community partners



Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
