Our client, a leading regional logistics and supply chain company, is looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Officer to join its operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will support the efficient and timely clearance of import and export shipments while ensuring full compliance with Saudi Customs requirements, company procedures and customer expectations.

Position Summary

The Customs Clearance Officer will handle customs documentation, declarations and clearance coordination for shipments moving through Saudi Arabia.

The position requires practical knowledge of the Bayan Customs Clearance System, Saudi Customs procedures and import/export documentation.

The role will work closely with customs authorities, freight-forwarding teams, transportation providers, warehouses and operations teams to ensure shipments are released efficiently and without unnecessary delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit import and export customs declarations through Bayan.
• Review shipping and customs documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with Saudi Customs authorities.
• Support customs inspections and approval processes.
• Monitor shipments until final customs release.
• Coordinate with freight forwarding, transportation and warehouse operations.
• Resolve customs-related discrepancies and documentation issues.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Customs laws and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate clearance records and supporting documents.
• Obtain required shipment information from internal departments.
• Maintain organized documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Which profile are we looking for?

• High School Diploma or equivalent minimum.
• Certification in Customs Clearance, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Practical knowledge of Saudi customs-clearance procedures.
• Experience using the Bayan system preferred.
• Experience dealing with customs and regulatory authorities.
• Strong understanding of import/export documentation.
• Knowledge of Saudi Customs regulations and trade compliance.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage urgent shipments and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with operational teams.
